Ilvinki 3 is a semi-detached cottage in Nilivaara, Äkäslompolo made of old dry logs called “kelo” in Finnish. The cottage has an open plan living/dining room and kitchen, and a family bedroom (with a bunk bed and a separate bed), shower, lavatory and of course a sauna on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and another lavatory. The cottage comfortably accommodates 6 people and up to 8 people. The cottage has a fireplace, TV, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, and a heated drying cabinet.

The cottage has a west facing terrace with a view of Yllästunturi and the afternoon sun. There is a camp fire and a woodshed for firewood in the yard. You can also wax your cross-country skis in the woodshed.

There is off-street parking for two cars and a car heating socket next to the front door (please note that the rent does not include charging for electric or hybrid cars).

The village bus / SkiBus stop is 200 meters away (leaves 11.15 am.), the trails are just a short walk down the hill. The local Jounin kauppa shopping centre (with supermarket, Alko, pharmacy, café, petrol station, charging for electric cars and sports shops) is just 2,5km away. The closest Ylläs Y1 slopes are 4 km away.

The heating, hot water, electricity, firewood and final cleaning is included in the week rent; bed linen and towels are available at 20 eur / person on request. You can bring your pet to the cottage; however, please let us know as there is an additional cleaning charge of 50 eur.

Payment Terms

There is a 30% down payment at the time of booking; the balance is due 30 days before arrival. Once you have paid, we will send you the code to the key box by SMS or email.

Cancellation Policy

There is a cancellation charge of 30% if the booking is cancelled, and a charge of 100% if the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before arrival, as we will not be able to rent the cottage to anyone else at such short notice. We suggest you check your travel insurance for coverage.
